Hi! I’m Jessie Crone. I’m a makeup artist in Atlanta, GA, specializing in film and television. I have certifications in Advanced Makeup for Television and Film, as well as special effects from the Academy of Makeup Arts in Nashville, TN.
Growing up, I always loved watching movies, but I really enjoyed digging in behind the scenes to see how a film comes together. I was particularly fascinated with the way makeup could transform and actor into a character, and empower them to tell a story.
That fascination spread beyond movies and into theme parks, where the power of makeup and special effects transported me out of Universal Studios, and into other worlds. Standing face to face with a Goblin in Harry Potter’s Gringotts Bank, or face to knee with a towering Jurassic Park T-Rex, inspired me to explore the art not just as a hobby, but as a career.
Since then, I’ve been backstage building sets at Six Flags, and have helped bring several projects to life, including Tyler Perry’s The Oval, The Wayan Brothers’ Sextuplets, and USA Networks Real Country and Chrisley Knows Best. Between makeup, production assistance, and mold-making, Ive gotten to see what goes into production from several angles. And while my passion is for makeup, my broad experience gives me the know-how to put all the pieces of a successful show together.
